I have just read a book by Velvet Vaughn who is a new author to me and I am so impressed I am going to put her on my favs list. Although there are some things that would never happen in reality, the book Face The Music ( Cobra Securities Book 9) was well written, fast paced, with good character development. It is a love story with some suspense, mild love scenes, and the good guys. Considering the price of this series, and the genre one could not ask for anything better. I just wished I had started at the beginning of the series, so I guess I will back up and start there. And I will put Velvet Vaughn on my watch list for her next Cobra adventure.If you haven't read Vaughn's adventures, you're missing out!

Once again I am having trouble getting the correct number of stars for the book. There should be five stars on the top of the page. The main characters were involved in other books. The plot moves quickly and easily keeps the reader's attention throughout.
I have been waiting for this release and I was not disappointed! I love how Luke took care of Layla and her sister and brother and protected them even I injuring himself.I am hoping to see a book on Talia sometime soon (hint hint). It was nice to see some of the players from the previous books also. Good read!!
What a great love story ! The hero is a sexy, romantic, take charge guy. Love the COBRA security team. Their personalities, dedication and caring keep the pursuit of the bad guys in the forefront. This has diverse characters, a great plot, and terrific pacing. Highly recommended.
If you have been reading the COBRA series, you will enjoy the familiar characters and meet Luke's love interest. It's also a great mystery on its own if this is your first COBRA ebook. It will keep you guessing right to the end. I can't wait for the next book. Great characters and I the descriptions are so vivid I feel like I've been there.
Another great read in this series. I was really looking forward to having Lukes story told. Layla and the twins, were a wonderful match for his character. Just lovely! Good to hear about all the other cobra family members also. I hope in future books we see a pregnant Layla, just saying! Can't wait to read Talia and Hunters story (hint hint!!)
Layla Brooks, a singing sensation, faked her own death and now she's being hunted by the man who was trying to kill her. Or, more accurately, he's hunting his own children, who she took after she "died."
When she shows up at Cobra, she's not sure if she can trust Luke and his team, but she has to try, especially since someone is hot on their trail.
This is another story where you never know who to trust, even though you know who the bad guy is. It's a fun read.
J This is another really good one by this author. It is full of action, excitement and suspense. I wanted to like the main character but their instant relationship was not quite believable. Still it could have been a solid 5 stars but the constant focus on sex, including talking about it and think about it got pretty annoying and kept interrupting the flow of the plot. I skipped over much of it in order to get back to the story.
