Now that Janet and Joan Markham have had their first (albeit unexpected) guest, Joan is eager to get the bed and breakfast running properly. A shopping trip for some paintings to decorate the guest rooms leaves Janet convinced that William Chalmers, a man she doesn't like anyway, is up to no good.
When some of William's friends come to stay with the sisters, Janet's suspicions are heightened. A second set of guests keeps the women busy, but Janet can't help but wonder when the two couples become unlikely friends.
What exactly is William Chalmers doing in the back room of his new antique shop? Are their disagreeable guests, the Stones, working with him on something criminal? And why can't all of their paying visitors be like the Harrisons, who are quiet and respectable?
This new series of novella length stories will be quick reads with lighter story lines (and a lot fewer bodies) than the Isle of Man Cozy Mystery Series by the same author. This is the third novella in the series. They are best read in alphabetical order, like the Isle of Man Cozy Mystery books. You do not have to read that series to enjoy this one.

I love these little mysteries by Diana Xarissa. No violence, sex, or questionable language. Not even any dead bodies. But a mystery none the less. Delightful characters are the mainstay. My only complaint is that it ends rather abruptly. I don't quibble with the ending, but it's presentation would have benefited from several more pages. In any case, I look forward to the next installment.Product details

Another great book
A short enjoyable read. It moves quickly , there is no violence, I think it could've been worked out better but if you're looking for a short, enjoyable , light Mistry
I allways look forward to the sister's adventures. Love the fact that writers make older women intelligent and believable
I really enjoyed this book and the other ones in the series. I really hope there are more to come . I would enjoy more books about the sisters and decently would purchase read them all. So please read these books and you won't be sorry and hopefully many more will be written in this series.
A great series and the sisters seem to always be on the edge of something "fishy". Characters are well rounded and each story gives different insight. Thje location and descriptions of points of interest are complete and it seems you are there with the sisters.
